From around 18:00 tonight (18th August 2010) our support team will be performing essential maintenance on the MySQL server running on RA.  We anticipate the downtime to be in the range of 30 to 60 minutes.

During this downtime, access to any hosted websites utilising MySQL will be impaired.

The maintenance work was completed by 18:30.  Normal MySQL service has now resumed on RA.  For live status of our services, please visit http://status.appliedconsultancy.com.

The upgrade to database and data connectivity services on our NamesAndSpace server Dumbledore have now been completed.  These upgrades were accomplished without any problems or interruption of service beyond that advertised earlier this week.

Customers with websites powered by Microsoft Access databases should notice an increase in system responsiveness and stability.  Customers with web-services powered through MySQL database should experience a notable improvement in performance, especially in complex data queries and list creations.   For customers who wish to upgrade from Access to MySQL database, please contact our Sales Department for more information.

This upgrade was carried out as part of our rolling program of improvements to our NamesAndSpace range of hosting products and services.
